St. Louis Reunions

Tips for a Successful Reunion

  1. Pick a central location with good transportation. The more members who can attend the reunion, the more fun you'll have. If many attendees drive to the reunion, look for a location that's less than an eight-hour drive from the largest number of members.
  2. Ask your local convention and visitors bureau for help. In St. Louis, the CVC helps connect reunion planners with hotels, visitor attractions, group dining options and businesses who provide group transportation and other goods and services.
  3. Communication is key. Find a web-savvy member to set up a reunion web site. Then, post the reunion itinerary, transportation options and group history. Link your web site to the hotel and the city's official web site.
  4. Promote the reunion. Send "Save the Date" postcards well in advance. Many CVBs offer free postcards or brochures to boost your reunion's attendance. Reunions Magazine also sells "Save the Date" postcards.
  5. Create a memory. Give each group a disposable camera when they check in. Photo shops often sell to groups at a discount. Ask about putting a photo or reunion logo on the front of the camera. After the reunion, post the best photos on the reunion web site for members who weren't able to make it to the reunion.
